Rica Paras (born Richard Susmiran Paras on November 8, 1982) was the first and only transgender housemate who entered the Pinoy Big Brother house. She immediately caught the public’s attention but a controversial task of pretending to be lovers along with a Fil-Austrian Housemate. Graduated from Ateneo De Manila University with Mathematics Degree and worked for a multinational IT Company, her funny and witty personality made her endearing to the viewers which made her stay for 10 weeks in Pinoy Big Brother Double Up Season 2.

After PBB, she became a contract Star Magic Artist doing ABS-CBN shows like Your Song Isla, ASAP, Melason In the City, Melason In Love, Melason Promdi Heart, Panahon Ko ‘To, PBB Unlimited, Wowowee, Showtime, The Buzz, Entertainment Live. Being a champion of Transgender and Gay Issues, she graced various public affairs shows like ABS CBN’s Bottomline with Boy Abunda and TV Patrol, GMA’s Saksi and May Tamang Balita, and TV5’s Dokumentado. She is currently a freelance artist doing some TV shows, hosting for parties and events, as well as out of town/country shows.
