In 2009, an unexpected injury ended the professional baseball career of Jason Dewey. This setback only led him to turn to his love for music, which quickly propelled him to be the first Major League Baseball pro to also garner international success in the music industry. A native of Florida, Jason began his journey in the Miami club scene where he gained notoriety for his energetic, dance-oriented remixes, as well as his natural ability to captivate and engage an audience. Word of this new talent travelled overseas which found him signing with Hong Kong-based Prestige Entertainment Group.

 

In the early days of remixing He hit the no. 1 spot on the ‘Crack the DJs’ remix platform chart six times that year alone. His ongoing success landed him a record deal in 2016 with Sony Records ‘The Groove Society’ who later released his first remix, ‘I Like That’, featuring Nicci. Since 2016, Jason’s momentum as an artist increased with performances all over Asia with the biggest names in electronic dance music: Zedd, Afrojack, Tiesto, Steve Angello, Ummet Ozcan, Nervo, Paul Van Dyk, DJ Snake, and most recently Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike. It was 2018 that saw Jason branch to another industry, making his debut as an actor playing the role of Major March in the critically-acclaimed, award-winning independent film GOYO: Ang Batang Heneral. After its notable commercial success, the film was also released on Netflix in January 2019.

 

Later 2019 Jason was voted #15 Best DJ on the Global ranking DJ Poll by EDM DROID “TOP 25 DJ’S OF ASIA”. 2020 was followed with a move up to the #14 spot. 2021 Jason has landed in the TOP 10 spot at #10 of the “Top 25 DJ’S OF ASIA”! Jason took advantage of the down time with the pandemic with focus in the studio and has just announced his signing with the global dance record label Smash the House. Debuting first single with them titled “Feel It” was released on January 7, 2022. Pre Pandemic Jason’s most recent residency was at Cove Manila, one of Southeast Asia’s most well-known nightclub destinations.

 

He has continued to headline festivals and high-end clubs all over Asia while building a loyal following in every major city performance. When not touring, he is actively in the studio working on new music with the industry’s best labels and artists. Whether it’s in a new exclusive club or on the big screen, Jason Dewey continues to be a force to watch out for.
